MetaTrader 5 runs Expert Advisors, the automated strategies written for the platform. Test any EA on a demo account first: demo accounts are opened in the client area, under Platforms, then MT5, then Add Account, on the Demo tab.
Rules on trading strategies are part of the Terms and Conditions. Read them before running an automated strategy on a live account, and contact support if you are unsure whether a strategy is allowed.
